The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Hawthorn to Hamilton – Britain’s Love Affair with World Motor Sport’. Cue a smattering of iconic names from British motorsport, including Mike Hawthorn who became Britain’s first F1 world champion in a Ferrari 50 years ago and Lewis Hamilton, who is well placed to become his successor. Ford Fiesta EcoSport as it appeared on Ford's India website
Ford appears to have accidentally posted the first details of a new Ford Fiesta EcoSport SUV on their Indian web site. We’ve known for a while that Ford are working on an SUV / Crossover version of the Fiesta. Over a year ago we saw spy photos of a Fiesta Crossover, a high-riding version of Ford’s perennial compact car.
The Trident Icini (pictured) is now on sale
We saw the Trident Icini at Salon Prive in 2012, and although it looked like it was ready to roll out as the world’s fastest diesel sports car it’s taken two year more to be ready to take orders. But now it’s gone on sale. Three models are on sale – the Iceni, Iceni Magna (it’s a fastback) and Icini Venturer (a sort of estate car) all sporting a 6.6 litre diesel engine which, in standard spec, comes with 395bhp and 700lb/ft of torque.
